The Best of Fall in San Diego
Fall is an ideal time to visit San Diego. Think: Pumpkin patches, Halloween activities, and beautiful summer like weather—without summer crowds. We are #blessed with warm weather year-round, making San Diego the perfect place to visit – Fall being one of our favorite times. When Autumn arrives and summer beach crowds diminish, visitors to San Diego can bask in the region’s sunny weather and enjoy fun-filled Fall activities. Here are our some of favorite things to do near Humphreys Half Moon Inn when the seasons change.
The week-long San Diego beer festival kicks off with the annual San Diego Brewers Guild Festival downtown, where you’ll be able to try samples from more than 60 local breweries and bars. There will be other beer related events during the week, including food trucks, a beer garden at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, outdoor activities, and more!
Because of the great yearlong weather, there are tons of outdoor activities and events going on in the city. The Extreme Sailing Series will once again make a stop on San Diego’s shores, wowing beachside spectators with the close cut racing and impressive sailing maneuvers. And as an annual ode to one of the oldest rivalries in college football, the United States Naval Academy will face off the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in this classic matchup at the SDCCU stadium. Kickoff is on October 27; buy your tickets here.
All October long, kids can get in free with one paying adult to hundreds of San Diego theme parks, tours, museums, attractions, and more! SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, and LEGOLAND are all participants in this month long promotion. Humphreys So Cal Dining & Music is participating by offering 1 kids free meal per paid adult meal all month as well.
Rock out in our own backyard at Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay. Featuring both local San Diego artists and established musicians, such as Joan Baez and the B-52s, this annual concert series runs to the end of October. Upcoming acts include the Beach Boys, Basia, Graham Nash, and more.
