Comic-Con Themed Cocktails to Try in San Diego
Every year thousands of people travel to San Diego to attend the annual Comic-Con International at the San Diego Convention Center. With a jam-packed programming schedule, a giant exhibit hall, hands-on workshops, educational programming, film screenings, and more, it’s by far the biggest convention of its kind.
The 49th annual Comic-Con takes over the town from July 18 to 21, and San Diego is already gearing up for the big weekend. Start the celebrations early with Comic-Con-themed cocktails around the city. Local bartenders have come up with something for every fan, with creative drinks inspired by your favorite heroes, villains, and more.
Winter is coming at the Grant Grill Lounge. Chef de Bar, Cory Alberto, has artistically concocted a series of “Game of Thrones” themed cocktails for lounge-goers to enjoy now through Comic-Con – or July 21st. ‘The Mother of Dragons’, pictured below, consists of Nolet’s Silver, Sipsmith Lavendar Sloe Gin, Bigallet Thyme Liqueur, Domaine Santé All-Sass Riesling Nectar, R&D Smoked Bitters, and Local Citrus. Also featured is ‘The King of The North’, ‘The White Walker’, ‘The Red Wedding’, ‘The Three Eyed Raven’, and ‘The Imp and The Mountain’. This special menu ranges from $15 to $17 each and if you ask us, it’s totally worth it.
Henry’s Pub, located in the heart of Downtown, San Diego – just minutes from Comic-Con International, really gets into the spirit every July. SupernaturalWiki is hosting their very own Comic-Con International event at Garage Kitchen + Bar featuring Wayward Cocktails – a celebration of all things supernatural on July 18th from 6 – 8 pm.
