4 Thanksgiving Events in San Diego
As we head towards the holiday season, there are many reasons to celebrate the season of giving in San Diego. Turkey Trots, Veterans Day Festivities, and of course the main event, Thanksgiving! Here are some ways we’re celebrating the November Holidays.
As one of the US Navy headquarters located on Coronado Island, San Diego has a heavy Navy and Marines forces presence. San Diego reserves an entire week to honor the many active and inactive service men and women during Veteran’s Week, culminating in the Veteran’s Day Parade. Over 4,000 veterans, bands, floats, and civic groups will march in the parade, and will be cheered on by the citizens and visitors of San Diego as they march towards the USS Midway Museum. Check out the parade route!
Thanksgiving is not a time for restraint- get into that second helping of pie! To alleviate some of the post-turkey day guilt, here are some Turkey Trots around San Diego that also donate to a good cause!
