3 Things to Do at the San Diego Wine and Food Festival

San Diego is already one of the most exciting food cities in California, which makes us the perfect host for the largest wine and culinary classic on the West Coast, the San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival. This 15th annual event celebrates the unique culinary culture and hybrid of traditional American and Mexican flavors of San Diego. With tons of tasting events, meet and greets with celebrity chefs, and after parties, this is one festival you don’t want to miss. Here are some of the events we are looking forward to at the San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival.

Cheese and Wine

Follow the yellow cheese road… No really! California has over 70 cheese makers on what is known as the California Cheese Trail. National cheese ambassador Laura Werlin will be leading a class and tasting session on the different artisanal cheeses in the area.

Ceviche Showcase

Join the Ceviche Showcase for an afternoon of learning about the different types and styles of the ceviche dish. Learn how it’s traditionally prepared, what to taste for, and how to properly season your own ceviche dish. Plus, each ticket includes four ceviche courses and wine, beer, or cocktails.

Taco TKO

It’s fight night in San Diego. Only the strongest…and tastiest…will survive. Be a part of the action at the best San Diego taco competition, where chefs and restaurants will put their prize fighter on the plate for you to decide who is worthy of the title. This Sunday throw down will feature live music, beer, cocktails, and of course the main event…tacos!
