Enjoy Fall Events in San Diego

The warm summer months in San Diego bring lots of fun, sun, and beautiful beach days. But thanks to our legendarily mild year-round weather, summer never really ends here. Still, once autumn arrives? Life in “America’s Finest City” really starts to relax. So if you’re looking for reasons to head to San Diego this fall, we have lots of suggestions for some of the best fall events in San Diego.

Amazing Attractions

Thanks to our perfect year-round weather, San Diego’s outdoor attractions are available to guests for much longer seasons than those in other areas of the country. Locals know that there’s no better time than autumn to visit the world-famous San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld San Diego, and Balboa Park (plus its collection of world-class museums). Not only are crowds thinner and lines shorter, but seasonal pricing is in effect in many cases.

Dazzling Day Trips

One of the things that makes San Diego such a spectacular vacation destination is that the city’s surrounding communities offer some truly incredible options for autumnal adventures. Why not head across the bridge to the serene beaches of Coronado Island? Take a jaunt up the coast to the missions of San Juan Capistrano? Or pop out to enjoy apple season in Julian? Our neighbors offer some genuinely inspiring experiences.

Catch a Padres Game

The San Diego Padres have called “America’s Finest City” home for more than 50 major league seasons. Fall is prime baseball time, so a day spent at Petco Park (recently named the best stadium in the league by the sports experts at USA Today) is always a great way to enjoy America’s pastime. So snag your seat, grab a beer and a Barrio Dogg, and watch the hometown heroes slug it out on the diamond. There’s never a bad day out here!

San Diego Restaurant Week

San Diego is renowned as a “foodie” town, and for good reason. The best time to explore the city’s food culture is during regular Restaurant Week celebrations. This fall, more than 180 eateries will be participating in the seasonal event (held from Sept. 25 – Oct. 2), which will feature specials, discounts, and uniquely time-specific menu items that you simply can’t try at any other point on the calendar. There’s no better time to get out there and enjoy some great taste, so be sure to sample some of San Diego’s legendary local flavor.

CRSSD Fest

CRSSD Fest is the west coast’s premier electronic, techno, and house music event. This year’s festival takes place right on the beach at Waterfront Park Sept 24th and 25th, and is bringing some amazing sounds to “America’s Finest City”. 2022’s CRSSD will feature three stages’ worth of entertainment courtesy of acts like Richie Hawtin, Fatboy Slim, Cannons, Duck Sauce, Joseph Capriati and ARTBAT. Attendees will also enjoy craft beer, arts vendors, specialty food and more.

Pacific BeachFest

Pacific BeachFest is an all-day bash that brings a whole host of fun activities to one of the metro’s most popular beachside communities, and it’s back in a big way for 2022. When you go, you can look forward to fantastic food, athletic exhibitions, live music, a vendor alley featuring local products, and lots more. This year’s Pacific BeachFest is scheduled to happen on October 1st, so be sure to mark your calendars. You won’t want to miss this!
