Book a Few Extra Days

There’s never a bad time or a bad reason to visit San Diego. And even though we’re all about keeping it professional when necessary, we also know how to have fun. If you have a business trip planned, why not stay a few days before and/or after to really get out and explore? From the Gaslamp Quarter to the Embarcadero, the Star of India to Balboa Park, San Diego has surprises around every corner. It would be a shame to miss them.

We’re Foodie Central

There are food towns, and then there is San Diego. Our coastal climate and melting-pot culture have made us a gourmet’s paradise. Pan-Asian cuisine, Mediterranean and Italian food, spectacular seafood, and American fusion are all well-represented on the city’s menus. Of course, our close proximity to the border means that you won’t find better or more authentic Mexican food anywhere in the U.S. So when it’s time for a power lunch or that client dinner, you just can’t go wrong anywhere. Eat up!

Grow Your Circle

Professionals in San Diego are always interested in making connections with like-minded folks for networking and referrals. So there is almost always a mixer, meet-up, or event happening that will allow you to convene with other pros and get to know each other. Check San Diego’s Meetup page to see what’s happening during your trip. San Diego Young Entrepreneur’s Network, San Diego Pros, Young Professionals Network, and Network After Work San Diego are also fantastic resources.

Enjoy the Outdoors

We just can’t stress this enough: Whenever possible, get outside. Have that business lunch on an alfresco patio. Take your clients to hit a few of our hip rooftop taverns. Get in a jog or a hike in one of our many gorgeous park spaces. Use your downtime to stroll the beach or rent a car and take a short road trip to La Jolla. When we say the weather here is perfect year-round, we mean it — so nobody will blame you for getting out.

Take in the Sunset

There’s no sunset like a West Coast sunset. California’s famous golden evenings are among the most breathtaking in the world. And while there’s no bad place to drink in the beauty of the late-day sky display, some spots are definitely better than others. Thankfully, we’ve covered this in a previous edition of the Humphreys Half Moon Inn blog, so feel free to check it out. You’ve got to experience this at least once during your visit.

Stay Connected

Whether you plan on working remote or simply want to stay connected during your getaway, it’s important to choose the right accommodations. Of course, we think the rooms and suites at Humphreys Half Moon Inn perfectly fit the bill. And with high-speed and always-complimentary Wi-Fi throughout all our resorts, you can pop your laptop up poolside, focus on some reading down by the beach, and respond to those emails from the comfort of your balcony. Then when it’s quitting time, order up a cocktail, and you’re already all set to relax. Check us out, and start planning your stay!
