Catch Stringfever, the electric -- and electrifying -- string quartet known for such feats as all four musicians playing on a single cello in their famed version of Ravel's "Bolero." Incorporating humor and dazzling showmanship, the English group plugs in their violins, viola and cello to challenge the audience in "Name That Tune" as they race through 20 of the best-loved film themes in one breathless arrangement, including a James Bond medley. The Joan B. Kroc Theatre in San Diego hosts brothers Giles, Ralph and Neal Broadbent, along with their cousin Graham, accomplished musicians on a variety of instruments, including a custom-made "violectra." The concert concludes with the quartet's much-loved finale, "The History of Music ... in Five Minutes"-- an experience as electric as Stringfever's instruments.
