Los Lonely Boys/ Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band

Concerts & Music

Los Lonely Boys tour dates are about the live experience and their extensive catalog of original material.  Hailing from San Angelo, Texas, Los Lonely Boys are a sibling trio whose music draws equally from Rock, Blues, Tex-Mex, Conjunto, and Tejano.  Such a combination is shaped by the band’s three brothers: guitarist Henry Garza, bassist JoJo Garza, and drummer Ringo Garza, Jr.  Their debut album, 2003′s Los Lonely Boys, resulted in a high chart placement for the album’s lead single, “Heaven,” as well as a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance the following year.Rockpango (a made-up Spanish word that the band translates to English as “rock party”, was released in 2011 and debuted at #70 on the Billboard 200.  During a February 2013 concert in California, Henry Garza fell off the stage and suffered a serious spinal injury. He spent much of 2013 recovering, after which the band began work on its next album. Revelation was released in January 2014 and debuted at 120 on the Billboard 200 and 28 on the magazine's Top Independent Albums chart.  There are few artists whose names are synonymous with one instrument and how it's played in service to an entire genre.  Utter the phrase "young blues guitarist" within earshot of anyone with even a cursory knowledge of the modern musical vanguard and the first name they are most likely to respond with will be Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Still barely in his 30s, the Louisiana born axeman and songsmith has been selling millions of albums, throwing singles into the Top 10, shining a light on the rich blues of the past and forging ahead with his own modern twist on a classic sound he has embodied since his teens. He met Stevie Ray Vaughan at 7, shared the stage with New Orleans legend Bryan Lee at 13. As an adult, he continues to create genre-defining blues-infused rock n' roll.  Kenny Wayne Shepherd's How I Go not only serves as a strong reminder of the chops that caused Guitar World to place him right behind B.B. King and Eric Clapton on their list of blues guitarists, but it's the strongest indication yet of his gifted songwriting talent.
