San Diego's beautiful weather is always up to par for a round of golf. Head to any of these courses near Humphreys Half Moon Inn to enjoy beautiful views along with a challenging morning or afternoon on the links. Here's where to find a course with a special San Diego touch.
San Diego Municipal Golf Courses
There are three municipal golf courses in town, all in unique San Diego settings. Master golfer Sam Snead holds the course record at the Balboa Park Golf Course. The location near Balboa Park's other attractions, the San Diego convention center, Little Italy, and the Gaslamp Quarter mean it's easy to squeeze in a game here amidst your other business or sightseeing activities. The course is less than 20 minutes from our hotel.
The Torrey Pines course, about a half hour away from Humphreys Half Moon Inn, has hosted the U.S. Open, and offers challenges to all golfers. Set high on a cliff above the Pacific, its spectacular views mean scenic distractions can be an additional hazard to your game.
Riverwalk Golf Course
Stay at Humphreys Half Moon Inn and Riverwalk Golf Course, a leading semi-private course, is only 7 miles away. The course has 27 holes and close to 100 bunkers, with four lakes and the San Diego River creating an unmatched scenic setting. Swing hard or tap lightly to improve your stroke at the driving range and putting green.
Coronado Municipal Golf Course
Take a scenic ferry ride or scenic ride over the bridge to Coronado, across the bay from San Diego, then head to their municipal golf course for a game with views that can stretch beyond San Diego all the way down to Mexico. Take time after your game to explore the community, famous for its Victorian namesake hotel and terrific shopping.
Whichever course you play at, come back to Humphreys Half Moon Inn after your game and make our waterfront restaurant and club your 19th hole. You'll enjoy watching the activity in the marina while you recount your winning strokes.
