San Diego Waterfront Park is always a beautiful setting to explore, with the water, gardens, and interactive fountains. The scene is enhanced when the San Diego Festival of the Arts takes place in the park from June 10-11, 2017. The event raises funds to support sports programs for San Diegans with disabilities, so the admission fee ($12 for one day, $16 for both) is going to a great cause.
The park is perfect for strolling during the festival. The harbor views are joined by beautiful artworks crafted in all media--close to 200 artists will be displaying their work. Whether your interests lean toward photography or sculpture, ceramics or fiber, you'll find pieces you'll want to fit in your suitcase and take home. You can enjoy great food from restaurants like Flavors of East Africa, Cousins Maine Lobster, and bbq from Super Q Food Truck, plus sip local craft beer and wine. Three stages of entertainment provide a soundtrack for the event.
Another way to enjoy the San Diego waterfront is to stay at Humphreys Half Moon Inn. Our property is on Shelter Island, set on landscaped grounds along the water. There are water views from jogging and biking paths, or you can settle in beside our pool. It's easy to reach Waterfront Park and all the other sights of San Diego for a day of fun before returning to Humphreys to keep the fun going after dark with dinner and dancing in our restaurant and live music club.
