The bayou meets the bay when the sounds and tastes of Louisiana come to San Diego in the Gator by the Bay festival May 11-14, 2017. Creole, Cajun, Zydeco, blues, and California sunshine are the perfect combination for fun! Here's the event details:
• What: The Gator by the Bay festival brings Louisiana's best culture and cuisine to San Diego. There'll be music in all the bayou and N'awlins genres, like zydeco, cajun, blues, jazz, and more. You'll tap your feet and swing your partner to two-step and jitterbug rhythms. Take a break from dancing to refuel at the French Quarter Food Court, where you'll dig into crawfish, alligator, and jambalaya. Chef demos let you bring the recipes home with you. There'll be Mardi Gras-themed shopping and Mardi Gras parades, plus other fun for the kids.
• When: The festival lasts four days, May 11-14, 2017. Performances start at 6pm on Thursday, and the last show is Sunday at 6pm. You can fill every day with different inspiration from Louisiana!
