Enjoy a fun, free festival August 12-13 at ArtWalk at Liberty Station in San Diego. There will be art exhibits, the chance for hands-on art-making, food, and music for an experience that delights all your senses.
The art is the focus of the event, with artists showing works in media including acrylics, oil, pottery, glass, metal, mosaic, and more. There's a broad range of styles to match, with folk art, to abstract works to photo-realism (and everything in between). The beauty of the art is enhanced by the Liberty Station setting surrounding a rose garden.
Discover your own artistic talents with a hands-on opportunity to create your own mixed-media piece of art. The project uses stencils, markers, and watercolors to create multiple layers of beauty. There are special hands-on projects for kids, too.
Take a break from the art to enjoy the wine and beer pavilion, where you can relax in the shade and enjoy local brews and vintages. There'll be a variety of street food available for purchase, from main meals to delicious desserts. Plus there's plenty more artisanal food to choose from at the nearby Liberty Station Public Market.
There will be a musical soundtrack to your day, too, with performances by numerous local musicians. Like the visual art, there'll be a broad range of styles, including pop, blues, and country sounds.
