Celebrate the culture, music, dance and heritage of the indigenous people of Malaysia, Micronesia and Polynesia at the annual Pacific Islander Festival. More than 80,000 people will come to beautiful Ski Beach on Mission Bay in San Diego to enjoy the free festivities, happening September 24 - 25, 2016.
The Pacific Islander Festival will feature exciting entertainment, live performances and cultural activities, including Hula dance, a Polynesia Show, dance troupes, singers and the 2016 Miss PIFA San Diego Court. Get a taste of Pacific Island cuisine with food trucks and local restaurant pop-ups. This colorful event also promotes community education through scholarships for students. Don't forget to snap a photo from the festival and join the Humphreys Photo Contest.
And if you can't wait for all the PIF action, head out to Petco Park for Pacific Islander Community Night and see the San Diego Padres play on September 10th.
Located on Shelter Island, Humphreys Half Moon Inn is just minutes from Ski Beach and the Pacific Islands festival. With its lush landscape and swaying palms, the tranquil resort feels like its own Pacific island oasis, world away from San Diego. After the festival, embrace the resort's Aloha spirit and tropical islander vibe.
